Pi Network Achieves Internal SWIFT Integration via OKX

The cryptocurrency of Pi Network, PI, has been listed in the SWIFT system, which allows the cross-border banking features within the company itself. Trading with an X (a post by @RaphaelNta239333), OKX, which has already passed the Know Your Business (KYB) check by Pi Network, confirmed that Pi SWIFT Integration: Cross Border Bank Activated.

This announcement was accompanied by a sharp rise in PI price. The 24-hour upsurge was 10.7% with a peak in the trading volume of more than 107 million PI tokens. Introduced in 2019 by Stanford PhD students Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis and Dr. Chengdiao Fan, Pi Network is based on mobile-friendly crypto-mining and user acquisition. This announcement suggests that the internal activation is a pilot stage, with its full public implementation being based on the mainnet launch and regulatory authorizations.

This news saw a significant price and trade upsurge, as investors had become optimistic. Nonetheless, compliance across borders, cross-border compliance, and pre-mainnet phase of Pi would interfere with full SWIFT functionality.

The mentioned SWIFT integration would be a huge milestone for Pi Network that could allow it to conduct cross-border banking and go global.
