Binance Coin (BNB) Adds 65% in Volume: Is Binance Gaining Traction?

Binance Coin has seen a notable increase in trading activity, with 24-hour volume surging by more than 65% as traders return to one of the market’s largest exchange tokens. The uptick comes as $BNB attempts to build on its recent recovery, raising the question of whether Binance itself is regaining momentum after several months of subdued activity.

Positioning remains bullish

According to the latest market data, $BNB‘s spot trading volume climbed above $160 million during the past 24 hours, while futures volume exceeded $800 million. Open interest also remains elevated at nearly $950 million, suggesting that derivatives traders continue adding exposure rather than closing positions. Exchange data further shows a predominantly bullish positioning, with long-to-short ratios remaining above 1.9 across major platforms.

The increase in volume coincides with improving activity across Binance’s ecosystem. The exchange remains the largest venue by trading volume, with more than $430 million in $BNB volume over the past day, comfortably ahead of competitors such as OKX, Bybit and Bitunix. Higher activity on the platform naturally translates into stronger demand for $BNB, which continues to play a central role in fee discounts, ecosystem incentives and on-chain applications.

The technical picture has also improved. $BNB recently broke above both its 50-day and 100-day moving averages, turning them into nearby support around the $575-576 region. The latest rally briefly pushed the token toward $600 before encountering profit-taking, leaving $BNB trading around $589 at the time of writing.

Key price zones

The 200-day moving average remains much higher near $652, meaning the broader long-term trend has not fully reversed. However, reclaiming the medium-term moving averages is an encouraging sign after weeks of sideways consolidation.

Momentum indicators also support the recovery. The Relative Strength Index has climbed to nearly 59 without entering overbought territory, indicating strengthening bullish momentum while leaving room for additional upside if buying pressure continues.

Still, volume alone should not be interpreted as proof of a sustained breakout. Trading activity can rise during both accumulation and distribution phases, making price confirmation equally important. If $BNB manages to establish support above the $575 area and eventually break through the psychological $600 barrier, the next technical target would likely shift toward the 200-day moving average near $650.

For now, the combination of rising volume, strengthening derivatives activity and improving price structure suggests Binance is attracting renewed market attention. Whether that develops into a broader trend reversal will depend on whether buyers can convert increased participation into a sustained move above key resistance levels.
