The statue of Satoshi Nakamoto in Lugano, saved from the lake, is now ready to be admired once again in all its splendor. During the Plan ₿ Lugano event organized by Tether, there will be the official relocation of the famous statue on the lakeside, along with other surprises dedicated to the creator of Bitcoin.

The statue of Satoshi Nakamoto in Lugano: the new official relocation during Plan ₿

Today is a special day for the Bitcoin community: the statue of Satoshi Nakamoto in Lugano will once again be admired on the lakeside after a full two months of its absence.

The official relocation will take place during the Plan ₿ Forum in Lugano, the event organized by Tether and the city of Lugano dedicated to Bitcoin, Blockchain, and decentralized technologies.

Just this morning, Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether and CTO of Bitfinex, shared a spoiler about the statue of Satoshi Nakamoto on his X profile:

Note that tagged in Ardoino’s post is Satoshi Gallery, the project founded by the artist Valentina Picozzi, who indeed took care of creating the famous statue.

In fact, it is the Satoshi Gallery that reveals that the Statue of Satoshi Nakamoto in Lugano will be unveiled today at 12:30 PM at Parco Ciani.

The Statue of Satoshi Nakamoto in Lugano: The Grand Return

For those who are not aware, last August in Lugano, the statue of Satoshi Nakamoto disappeared without leaving a trace, under mysterious circumstances.

In fact, while walking through Parco Ciani in Lugano, the famous statue symbolizing Bitcoin and the crypto revolution in Switzerland was no longer in its place.

In twenty-four hours from its disappearance, the statue was then recovered directly in Lake Lugano, in front of an incredulous crowd.

At that moment, the idea was that it was an act of vandalism, immediately documented by the recorded images. In fact, it was the police commander, Roberto Torrente, who confirmed that the perpetrators were a group of young people, whose identities were being verified.

The rescue of the statue of Satoshi Nakamoto was carried out thanks to the divers of the Swiss Rescue Society Lugano section. The artwork was found broken due to the impact with the water and became visible again, ruling out the hypothesis of theft.

“We are all Satoshi”: the new surprises at Plan ₿

The statue of Satoshi Nakamoto, in addition to honoring the creator of Bitcoin, is the physical representation of a typical community slogan: “We are all Satoshi”.

During the Plan ₿ Forum in Lugano today in its fourth edition, Ardoino announced that the Satoshi Gallery will present other surprises that always concern the creator of Bitcoin.

In practice, at the Satoshi Gallery stand, two new versions of the miniature statue of Satoshi Nakamoto are available. There is a stainless steel version measuring 22 cm and another plastic version measuring 19 cm.
