Sierra Protocol has introduced SIERRA, the first dynamically rebalanced Liquid Yield Token (LYT) on the Avalanche network. Users can purchase SIERRA with USDC through the Sierra web app or LFJ (formerly Trader Joe) and start earning yield immediately without fees, lockups, or staking requirements.

Unlike yield-bearing stablecoins, LYTs are backed by yield-generating stablecoin reserves rather than pegged to fiat currency. SIERRA is the first LYT to feature a diversified and dynamically rebalanced portfolio of investment-grade real-world assets and blue-chip DeFi protocols, managed according to Sierra’s Risk Framework. Its Transparency Dashboard offers real-time data access via web, CSV, or API.

Through a partnership with OpenTrade, Sierra integrates institutional-grade yield infrastructure that allocates reserves across both traditional and DeFi yield sources, including U.S. Treasury money market funds, commercial paper, and platforms like AAVE and Morpho.
