Media reports suggest that Christopher Waller could be announced as the next Federal Reserve Chairman. Waller has been one of the top Fed officials advocating for interest rate cuts. Trump has also nominated Stephen Miran, who has similarly called for cuts, to the board.

Further, as we wrote, Bitcoin (BTC) price could benefit from Trump’s decision to add tariffs on gold. It has also formed a bullish flag pattern that points to a record high.

Such a move is likely to trigger a crypto bull run, benefiting top altcoins. Some of the top altcoins to buy are: Chainlink (LINK), Ripple (XRP), and Pepe (PEPE).

1. Chainlink

Chainlink is one of the top altcoins to buy today and is well-positioned to benefit from the next bull run. It is the leading oracle provider in the crypto industry, helping major players connect off-chain data to the blockchain.

LINK price also has strong technicals. It has formed a double-bottom pattern at $11, with a neckline at $18. There are signs that it has entered the third wave of the Elliott Wave pattern, typically the longest and strongest.

This wave could take LINK to $25.65, which aligns with the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement level. That price target also aligns with the double-bottom measurement, calculated by projecting the height from the neckline.

2. Pepe

Pepe, the second-largest meme coin on Ethereum, is another top crypto to watch as the bull run starts. The main catalyst here is Ethereum’s recent price surge, which tends to drive momentum across tokens in its ecosystem.

Pepe has climbed above the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement level at $0.00001060 and is attempting to reclaim the 50-day moving average. It has also respected a rising trendline support.
