According to leaked information, Chrome automatically downloaded several gigabytes of the Gemini Nano model file to devices for native fraud prevention systems, web page summarization features, and AI-powered tools. While Google argues that running AI on devices enhances privacy and security, cryptocurrency users, in particular, have claimed that there was insufficient transparency in the process and that explicit user consent was not obtained.

Analysts note that internet browsers have now become the primary access point for crypto wallets, on-chain transactions, and decentralized applications, making browser security a critical component of the crypto ecosystem.
