According to Dune data, the primary sales have exceeded $49 million, just from virtual gifts sent via chat. In fact, the number of wallets involved in these transactions has reached 322,000, indicating this ecosystem is no mere passing fad.

Telegram NFT Gifts See Surge Amid Rising Wallet Activity

A total of 118 gift types are in circulation. Of these, 86 have been fully upgraded to NFTs. The rest have not, either because they haven’t had the time or simply aren’t interested. Nevertheless, user enthusiasm remains strong. One reason is quite simple: if gifts are sent off-chain, the conversion to NFT takes about 21 days. Therefore, many choose to trade them directly through a faster and more instantaneous channel.

Another interesting finding emerged from the wallet age distribution data. The majority, over 60%, of actively transacting wallets were created in 2025. This indicates that new users are continuing to arrive, not just old players casually opening old wallets.

It doesn’t stop there, the project’s estimated full value (FDV) has already reached $194 million, with an active market cap of around $161 million. Although not all gifts have been converted into NFTs yet, the market potential appears enormous.

Furthermore, since last April, Telegram Stickers have also become tradable on several over-the-counter marketplaces, and this gifting feature is now increasingly integrated with users’ social activities on the app.

From Virtual Weed to Stars: How NFTs Are Getting Personal

Meanwhile, on July 10th, CNF reported that Snoop Dogg successfully sold nearly 1 million NFTs directly on Telegram using the blockchain-based gifting feature TON. His collection is quite striking, including vintage cars, swag bags, digital marijuana, and even virtual dogs with a quirky yet distinctive visual style.

And yes, everything can be displayed directly on users’ Telegram profiles. Furthermore, these NFTs can also be converted into “Stars,” a kind of social reward that adds value to their owners.

This is proof that NFTs on Telegram are not just collectibles, but are also starting to have social uses. Furthermore, this trend coincided with a surge in global NFT sales volume in July 2025, which was the second-highest month of the year.

While the number of unique buyers actually decreased, transaction volume actually increased. Ethereum still leads in the number of NFT transactions, but Cardano stole the show with the highest percentage growth in volume.

All of this points to one thing: NFTs for use—not just for display or storage—are starting to take center stage. And Telegram, while originally known as a messaging app, is now starting to look like a bustling, crowded, and highly active digital marketplace.
